Left Strategies in the Covid Pandemic and Its Aftermath – Yearbook 2022

€8,00

transform! 2022 looks at the challenges the Covid pandemic has presented to left politics and asks what a programme of left demands for pandemic research, prevention, and treatment might look like. More than thirty years after the collapse of the East Bloc, of triumphant neoliberalism, and the rise of China as an economic power, what are the resulting geopolitical shifts behind the war in Ukraine as well as new imperatives for public intervention in the economy, with the emergence of social democracy in the US but with the structural difficulties any left politics face in the EU?
